Aleo BME has innovated water-borne polymer coating technologies through click chemistry that is typically used in biomaterial design. ALEO BME has developed a series of clickable water-borne polymers, which addresses the inherent problems associated with existing water-borne coatings and adhesives such as poor water and solvent resistance, poor film-forming and adhesive capability, and low toughness.

Furthermore, our proprietary CLICK materials can maintain long-lasting antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. The coating technologies are applied to hernia meshes that are typically made of polypropylene and Teflon to reduce bio-burden and improve tissue-integration, as well as to other medical devices such as orthopedic implants, wound dressing, catheters, tubings, surgical sutures and other surgical tools and devices where anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties are desired. They can also be used for non-medical coating applications such as in construction paints, food packaging, apparel and shoe coating.
